The session chart carries the regime read above it at three grains, the levels that matter beside it, and the volume weighted averages through it. The current period is marked provisional until it closes, because that is what it is.

Liquidity
Where the size is, not just where the price is.
A depth map shows resting size at every level over time, with the touch threading through it. Size moves before price does, and a chart cannot show you that.

Provisional is said out loud
A period that has not closed is labelled provisional and carries how confident the read is. It is never shown as settled.
Data has a freshness
Where the app knows how old a figure is, it tells you. A revised session is marked as revised.
